a cold blush

I’ve just finished updating my shop with my two newest paper doll sets and a little postcard set too.
I’ve decided that I am going to continue with the mermaid theme this summer because obviously, there should be a squid and other fantastic sea creatures as well.
Strawberry Spring is a paper doll that I started sometime over a year ago. I finished her head and body then and even kind of snuck her into a photo I posted here around that same time. She represents spring optimism.
And of course Cordial Creatures is modeled very closely after my piece Hello from the Oceanic show at Suite 100 last year. I didn’t want to reproduce an exact copy of the original… I’m funny that way.
I’m excited about some new paper dolls that I’m working on. They are very different style-wise and they have rather extreme proportions… but more on that later!
After I put my new sets together, I felt the call to add a little glitter. I broke out the clear glass glitter on the mermaid and it’s very pretty but it’s difficult to see in photographs. Silver and garnet make up for any lost sparkling.
