november on paper, in pencil
Written on November 9, 2009
I wanted to wait until it was announced officially on their website but this show will be the last one Halogen will host for the foreseeable future. I was pretty sad to hear it because they are pretty great.
It was starting to feel like a home for my work. I regret not having had a chance to visit.
If you can make it to the gallery sometime during the next month, please do!
Opening this week at Halogen Gallery in Seattle:
The emphasis on this show is about offering affordable art for gift giving.
Each of the 23 artists will offer at least one piece that is 100 dollars or less(!).
The show opens this coming Friday. I can’t be there… but I wish I could.
If you live in or near Seattle, please try to make it to this show!
My pieces (both are framed)

Loyalty - 5×7 inches, graphite on paper
*SOLD* Thank you!

Invitation - 5×7 inches, gouache on illustration board
*SOLD* Thank you!

I’ll update this post when the show preview is online!

Both are lovely!
Thanks Lilly!
I wish I was closer to Seattle! They look fantastic.
Thanks Jessica! It should be a good show. I wish I could go too… I know I’ll be watching for the show preview to come online. As always, I love to see everyone else’s pieces.
These are both lovely, the drawing especially, I cant get over the beautiful detail in your work!
Both are beautiful I wish you would make prints of them especially the one on the top I am in love with the way you draw….
both of those are so beautiful. I like the white details in the second one a lot!
Great, great pieces Amy! The show looks fantastic. I love both pieces (as you know, I love your drawings), but Invitation is hard not to fall in love with…the lightning, the lace, the wolf mask!! I really hope both pieces go to wonderful homes.
xo!
Wonderful, I like them both!
They’re both fabulous (and congrats on the sales!). I so love your drawings.
I’m sad though that Halogen won’t be doing any more shows.
Such a bummer as they’re one of my favorite galleries in Seattle.
Yes yes yes, I am so happy that I have found your superb blog. Your photos are extraordinary and I love them!
Peace & Love

You are so talented. This is really gorgeous. The coloring and the muteness of the last ones remind me a bit of chris ware.
